Seeding a vision of a thriving Isle of Wight

TFMZ

12th March, Building 41

As we have journeyed on our mission zero work over the past years, we have all become increasingly aware that this is an interconnected journey of change. The need to reduce our carbon emissions is coupled with the need to eliminate waste and pollution, to improve nature and biodiversity, to kick-start a new regenerative island economy and in doing so we have an incredible opportunity to improve the social foundation of island residents.

While recognising that trade-offs exist, there are many examples of island initiatives that are aiming to create a virtuous circle of improving all these outcomes. The Together for Mission Zero Isle of Wight platform aims to continue to connect us all together and empower more people to act, believing in the greater sense of community and civic action that unites us.

At our March 12th event we want to create, once again, a space of networking and collaboration on the community’s journey of change; as well as seeding conversations about our collective future vision of a thriving Isle of Wight.
