Together For Mission Zero organisers include Nora Clinton, Rob Sauven, Nora Aridi, Tristan Harris and Filippo Di Salle. With combined backgrounds in renewable energy, circular economy, management consulting and landscape architecture, we are a group of concerned Isle of Wight citizens who have been working voluntarily since July 2021 to help drive a holistic vision in reaching carbon neutrality on the Isle of Wight.
Hi! My name is Nora and I live in Gurnard on the Isle of Wight. Over the past fifteen years, I have studied and worked in the spaces of sustainable development, circular economy, systems change, mission-oriented innovation, doughnut economics and new economic thinking. Given the urgent need to tackle the climate crisis, we have set up Together for Mission Zero to empower positive social and ecological action in our local community.
Hello! My name is Tristan and I run a consultancy that helps organisations deliver improvements or changes in order to achieve a strategic objective; breaking down institutional silos to achieve systems transformation. I believe that we need more systemic approaches to addressing our ecological and social challenges and I am particularly interested in new models of thinking and action such as Doughnut Economics, which brilliantly visualises both our real responsibilities and the need to think holistically. I am excited to test, learn and share new methods for putting Doughnut Economics into action… starting here on the Isle of Wight.
Hello! I am a landscape architect and eco wellbeing practitioner based on the Isle of Wight, but have worked across a variety of countries. My interests lie in healing spaces in the public realm through social and ecological regeneration/healing. I am a keen advocate of co-design by working closely with local communities. My work looks to develop on the intersection between eco-psychology and landscape architecture to support local healing and connection across the personal, social and ecological.
Hi! My name is Rob. I have led teams in renewables including wind, solar and grid scale energy storage and now I am engaged in the journey to One Planet Living on the island and elsewhere. I am partnering with the Isle of Wight council on our Mission Zero 2040 strategy and am involved in the development of the islands nine Mission Zero hubs.
Hello! My name is Filippo and I have over twenty years of project and asset management experience in the marine and offshore industries; the last fifteen of which have been spent in the offshore wind industry. I have been involved in a wide variety of management roles both office and site based mainly in Europe and Far East. As a resident of the Isle of Wight and given the urgency of the challenge, I would like to help our island transition to a net zero community.
Together for Mission Zero Isle of Wight is a platform to connect, share, discuss and build a community of action around the Isle of Wight Council’s 2040 Mission Zero strategy.
